Ios is located between Naxos, Sikinos and Santorini. The whitewashed villages and the beautiful sandy beaches will fascinate you. The locals used to call the island Nios. It is an island that manages to combine youthful spree with secluded places that offer tranquility in the beauty of the Cycladic landscape. On Ios you will find remote beaches with crystal clear waters, countryside paths which will lead you to Byzantine and medieval monuments, churches and monasteries and ruins of old farmhouses. How to get there:

  • By boat: Ios is connected to the port of Piraeus as well as other islands of the Cyclades. The trip from Piraeus takes about 7 hours by ferry while it takes 3 1/2 hours with a speedboat. The frequency of the routes vary according to the season.
  • By plane: There is no airport on Ios, the nearest one is that of Santorini with a modern and fully equipped helipad.
